So last night I rolled up to the Pretty Darn Quick do buy me some soda. Upon entering I noticed music that my ear is hardly acquainted with. Jesus music. All I remember were like the words redemption, savior and God the father, and I knew I was far from home. I decided to look at the people working there to see if any God-loving teenagers, or at least twenty-something singing along. All I see is a large black woman and a small Asian man, both mouthing to the hymn.

God only knows how much laughter I was holding in.

Things I learned from Wikipedia today:
1. Guns N' Roses lead singer Axl Rose's stage name is an anagram of "oral sex".

2.
Freeganism — Freegans practice a lifestyle based on concerns about the exploitation of animals, the earth, and human beings in the production of consumer goods. Many tend towards veganism, but this is not an inherent practice. Those that eat meat generally support the arguments for vegetarianism, but as freeganism is concerned about waste, freegans prefer to make use of discarded commodities than to allow them to go to waste and consume landfill space.

3. Dr. Richard Garfield, inventor of Magic: The Gathering, has personally created three Magic cards celebrating events in his life: One for his marriage proposal (this was done by pasting a color photocopy onto another card) and one for the birth of each of his two children (both professionally printed). Several of each card were given out to friends and associates and they are considered extreme rarities by collectors.

4. Alexis Bledel's native language is Spanish.

5. Chevy- Chase, Maryland is a CDP.

6. A census-designated place (CDP) is an area identified by the United States Census Bureau for statistical reporting. CDPs are communities that lack separate municipal government, but which otherwise resemble incorporated places, such as cities or villages. CDPs are delineated to provide data for settled concentrations of population that are identifiable by name but are not legally incorporated under the laws of the state in which they are located.

7. An interesting fact about Eagan is that it's one of the very few Twin Cities suburbs without an established car dealership business.

8. The Peace Corps was established by executive order in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy and approved by Congress as a permanent agency within the State Department later that year.

My dream one day is to be cool enough to have a whole page on me. If only.

So officially my sister has the worst music taste ever. Yesterday when I was in the car with her she changed the station from "Imagine" by John Lennon, to "Tequila Makes her Clothes Fall off" by God only knows me because i'm a country hick with bad teeth and a rhinstone cowboy hat....

If there was anything pure in this world, 102.1 couldn't be picked up in the greater Metro area.
